GSSSB Recruitment 2024 – Educational Qualification:

(1) A candidate obtained from any of the universities established or established in India by or under any Central or State Act or from any other educational institution recognized as such or from any other educational institution declared as a deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act-1956. Should have a bachelor’s degree.

GSSSB Recruitment 2024 – Exam Pattern:

• Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Combined Examination for Group – A and Group – B) (CBRT Method)

In the first phase to select the candidates for the main examination, the preliminary examination for all the cadres under Group – A and Group – B will be conducted through computer-based

Response Test (CBRT) method with MCQ-type questions…

• The preliminary exam will be 100 questions with 1 mark per question and a total of 100 marks. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer to the question.
• In the case of disabled candidates, additional time will be allotted at the rate of 20 minutes per hour.
• The primary test is only for screening tests. The marks obtained by the candidate in the preliminary examination will not be considered for the final selection list.
• Every candidate applying with the application fee will be allowed to appear in the preliminary examination on a provisional basis pending verification of the application.
• At the end of the preliminary examination, separate lists of candidates qualified for the main examination will be prepared for Group – A and Group – B. And seven times the category-wise
• vacancies to be filled on a merit basis for Group – A and Group B will be considered eligible for the Second Stage Main Examination for Group – A and Group – B.
• Candidates who have qualified for the main examination will be given conditional admission for the main examination assuming they satisfy the educational qualification, age limit, and other necessary qualifications as per this advertisement.
• This exam is to be conducted in multi-session by Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) method and the result of the exam is done by proper evaluation of the candidates by normalization method.

Phase – 2: Main Exam

After the first stage examination of the General Administration Department. According to the notification dated 18-05-2023, the competitive examination will be conducted by the Computer Response Test (CBRT) method containing descriptive questions for Group A and MCQ-type questions for Group B. The details regarding the main examination will be as per Appendix-G attached herewith and the syllabus of the examination will be as per Appendix-H.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:-

The minimum quality standard of the marks obtained in the examination given by the candidate for the preliminary examination and the main examination is kept at 40 percent. A minimum qualifying standard of 40% marks has been fixed for the candidate in each stage of the examination. A minimum qualifying standard of less than 40 percent marks cannot be fixed under any circumstances for candidates of any category.
