Gujarat’s Education Minister Kanubhai Desai has launched the NaMo Laxmi Yojana for poor and middle-class students. Under this scheme, eligible students in grades 9 and 10 will receive assistance of Rs. 10,000, while beneficiaries in grades 11 and 12 will receive Rs. 15,000. In total, when a student passes the 12th grade, they will receive a total assistance of Rs. 50,000 from the Gujarat government under the NaMo Laxmi Yojana 2024 initiative.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a meeting on Friday, May 24, where it was announced that the application forms for the Namo Lakshmi Scheme will start being filled from the upcoming Monday, which is May 27, 2024, and the first installment of the scheme will be given to eligible children on June 27. This first installment will amount to a total of 85 crore rupees and will include beneficiaries of the Namo Saraswati Scheme as well.
